Mesh Paneled Ballet Flats

Mesh Paneled Ballet Flats Ease into the see-through shoes trend with a two-toned ballet flat. These shoes from Forever 21 have a fun, colourful design and will cost you just under $20. The see-through panels work well against the coloured trims and caps. Wear them with faded denim jeans and a white t-shirt for a crisp, springtime outfit.

2

Clear Slingback Pumps

Clear Slingback Pumps Clear shoes are quite quirky. Play up their quirkiness by choosing shoes with colourful or embellished accents. These shoes by Sophia Webster come with a bright pink toe cap and polka-dot sling back heel. They are quite expensive at $400 but you can find bargain buys at Urban Outfitters and Charlotte Russe.

3

Clear Metallic Pumps

Clear Metallic Pumps For a night out on the town, try a pair of chic pumps on for size. You can’t go wrong with metallics and these shoes feature clear panels down the sides. Wear them with a tuxedo inspired look for a modern take on evening wear. For $27.80 at Forever 21, they’re a fraction of the cost of what you’d pay for a pair of Manolo Blahniks.

4

Clear Jelly Bow Shoes

Clear Jelly Bow Shoes If you’re after a casual yet dressy take on clear shoes then these jelly bow shoes are worth a look. These flat shoes are entirely clear and feature oversized glitter bow details at the toes. Slip them on with a sundress for a sweet spring look. These Stuart Weitzman shoes will burn a hole in your pocket at $175 but you can find a similar, more affordable version by Fiebiger.

5

Mesh Paneled Peep Toe Booties

Mesh Paneled Peep Toe Booties Work a fashion forward look in a pair of see-through mesh booties. Team them with cigarette-style pants, a silky blouse, and an embellished clutch for a chic night time look. These booties will cost you just over $30 at Forever 21, which is much less than what you’d pay for similar styles by Maison Martin Margiela and Jeffrey Campbell.

Spiked Sandal

Spiked Sandal Work an edgy angle with a pair of clear spiked sandals. Choosing sandals with clear panels gives the illusion of spikes floating on your skin, which is pretty bad ass if you ask me. These Jeffrey Campbell sandals are expensive at $180 but you can find nearly identical versions at Charlotte Russe for around $20.

7

Embellished PVC Slingbacks

Embellished PVC Slingbacks These clear shoes have a hint of Cinderella’s glass slippers to them. The clear sling back design is minimal and polished, but the embellished wedge heel adds a bit of glamour to the look. Be warned though, these Valentino shoes cost a whopping $1000. You can find similar, more affordable versions at Nordstrom and Miss KL.

Glitter Gladiator Jelly Sandals

Glitter Gladiator Jelly Sandals Channel your childhood in a pair of jelly sandals. Wear them with anything from cute pinafores to a pair of jeans. These clear glitter jelly sandals are from Topshop but you can also find similar styles at Modcloth and Nasty Gal.

Despite being see-through, these shoes can pack a punch. What do you think of these see-through shoes? Are they a hit or a miss?

Where Thoughts and Opinions Converge

See-through shoes in general are a hit, it's a cute way to shoe some skin without wearing a flip-flop. Most of the shoes you showed here are cute, but those glittery jellies gotta go.

The first were the best of the options

Hit!!

I don't like the clear shoe trend, because they remind me too much of the shoes that came in my princess dress up kits from when I was a toddler.

Miss!!!!

Number 3 and number 5

Hit! Except for the last one. As long as you can't see any squished toes, they're cute!

Terrible. Not happening. Haha.

8 is really bad!!
