Nothing completes a cool weather outfit like boots for fall. Summer clothes and shoes are fun and flirty, but when the temperature drops, it’s a great opportunity to get your sophistication on. 1 ‘Sculptured’ Ankle Boot by Ecco

What’s this? A beautiful feminine boot that’s also a reasonable heel height of 3 inches? A fashionable boot that you can actually wear all day and still choose for evenings out? The reviews on these awesome boots for fall agree; these are both stylish and comfortable.

Frequently asked questions

2 ‘Raspy’ Platform Bootie by Steve Madden

I am addicted to lace-up boots. If there’s a cure for this, I don’t want it. This is the perfect jean boot and probably my favorite from this group of seven. The heel is 3 ¾ inches, but with that nice platform; you won’t feel pressure on the ball of your foot.

3 ‘Jeri’ Cuffed Western Boot by MIA

Fabulous and reasonably priced, these cuffed boots feature a 3 inch heel, so you can line dance all night and hope the music never ends. Can’t you just see these with a great fitting pair of tucked in jeans? What’s not to like? They’re suede, baby.

4 ‘Disheveled’ Moto Bootie by Nine West

These are serious bad gal boots. Wear these when you want to kick ass and take names, or when you just want something that looks great with your leather jacket. This dangerous looking boot has a 4 ¼ inch heel, so petite girls will love ‘em and tall girls will look super statuesque.

5 ‘Toby’ Suede Boot by Sofft

This would be my weekend boot. Kicking around in jeans and running errands, or a casual lunch with good friends, these 3 inch heel suede boots are the perfect finish for your weekend look. These aren’t rough weather boots. Grab them for fall before the winter takes hold.

6 ‘Verona’ Bootie by Pikolinos

Also available and gorgeous in black, these pebbled leather boots are only 2 ½ inches off the ground. I’m always looking for style and comfort in a shoe or boot and these leather booties check both boxes. A little pricey for a boot you wouldn’t purposely wear in inclement weather, but you could probably wear them often enough to justify the price tag.

7 ‘Original Short’ Gloss Rain Boot by Hunter

These pull on gloss rain boots look terrific while keeping your feet dry. Reviewers recommend these boots for gals with bigger calves that have had trouble finding a comfortable fit. It’s possible you could fall in love with these and consider a move to Seattle so you could wear them more often.

I’ve always loved boots and now that I live in a desert climate, there are far fewer days when wearing boots would be appropriate or even comfortable. Since winters here are similar to fall in other states, I can wear these boots throughout the winter and not worry about rain or snow, or the need for knee-high boots. I’d like to hear from other girls that live in warm climates. Have you totally given up on boots? What about boots that extend over the knee? Do you girls that live in colder climates forego fashion and focus on warmth when it comes to serious boots for bad weather? When I lived in New York, I wore sheepskin gloves, boots and coat. The coat was attractive, but the gloves and boots were solely for warmth, and to repel snow and rain.
