Check out these chunky cut out boots to give your outfits the edge.

1. Cut out Ankle Boots

Cut out Ankle Boots If you’re after cut out boots that are also wearable, then a fuss-free boot with subtle cut out details should do the trick. The black ankle boot is a wardrobe staple and choosing one with a cut out detail is a great way to get in on this fall footwear trend. Choose a pair with a low chunky heel and wear them with short hemlines while you can still get away with it or skinny jeans and coats when the temperature drops. Expect to pay around $90 for a pair of cut out ankle boots from Topshop.

2. Cut out Stacked Boots

Cut out Stacked Boots Lighter coloured boots are great for wearing with more neutral outfits. A faux suede boot in a blue-grey colour would look great teamed with neutral and tan colours for fall. Cut out details at the ankles and buckled straps add on-trend touches to the design. A wooden stacked heel also acts as a nice contrast. Check out Modcloth for a pair of cut out stacked boots for around $60.

3. Cut out Stud Ankle Boots

Cut out Stud Ankle Boots A thick, chunky heel and stud details are all the edge that these boots really need. The cut out details and buckled ankle straps are just icing on the cake. Despite quite a chunky heel, the rest of the design is quite sleek. Grab a pair of these studded ankle boots for $80 by River Island. Balance out the chunkiness of such boots by teaming them with short dresses and structured coats.

4. Cut out Western Boots

Cut out Western Boots Western-style boots seem to be a popular choice of footwear no matter what the season. If Western-style boots tickle your fancy, why not choose some with some cut out details and a chunky stacked heel? These taupe suede boots are a contemporary take on your typical Western-style boots. They’d look great worn with distressed denim and floral prints. Grab a pair from Topshop for around $130 or check out Forever 21 and ASOS for more budget-friendly buys.

5. White Cut out Heeled Boots

White Cut out Heeled Boots Lighten up your look in a pair of white cut out boots. The white leather look finish is quite minimalist and a contrasting black heel taps into the monochrome trend. They’d look stylish worn with leather leggings and an oversized sweater. Check out New Look for white chunky boots around $50.

6. High Heeled Cut out Boots

High Heeled Cut out Boots If you like extra height when it comes to your boots then look to a pair with a high chunky heel. A pair of boots by Elizabeth and James will set you back a couple of hundred dollars but check out Nasty Gal and ASOS for more affordable styles. Wear them with tartan pants and a fitted sweater for a trend-based fall look.

7. Heavy Cut out Boots

Heavy Cut out Boots Channel your inner punk with a pair of heavy cut out boots. Chunky heels, buckles, studs, and zippers all add that extra edge. These boots are adorable call them peek a boo boots

I see they're back in style but I'm not a big fan of the cut out boots, I had a black pair in the early 90's.

Yuck!! I certainly won't be following that trend.

Yikes

Not that it's a bad thing, but I'm surprised that there were no Jeffery Campbells on this list.

Am I the only one who thinks they're awful?
